Our interpretation of a classic Irish Dry Stout. A special blend of roasted barley and character-filled malts gives our Parisian Stout a slightly more bitter edge than others, balancing the smoothness of chocolate with the bite of coffee. Dark de Triomphe is full-bodied and bursting with flavour, served cold and fresh from the brewery with the traditional thick and creamy head. EBC 125.

'Darkitaine' à Bordeaux. 'Darktagnan' à Toulouse.

Dark amber color, small steady beige head, lace. Strong milky-licorice aroma. Medium-bodied. Strong licorice in the flavor. Cough candy, a bit milky too. This is clearly the best of Toulouse Frog’s beers I had.

On tap at Le Frog & Rosbif, Paris on 18th November 2011. Dark brown with pale brown head. Aroma is of coffee, toast and freshly baked bread. In-mouth flavours are malt, caramel, mollasses and slight sourness. Aftertaste grass and spice - quite short-lived.

Draught, Frog & Princess. Dark brown-red body, clear, thick slightly off white head that is almost nitro like. Soft sweet malty nose, light coffee, light fruitiness. Empty taste, ending bitter, some fruity sweetness shows up too. The roasty bitterness, while vague, sticks for awhile, mostly in the AT. The taste didn’t turn up at first but got there later on. A pleasant(ish), but too watery and unimpressive beer,

Draught (Frog & Rosbif, Paris) - Very dark brown with some red tinges when held to the light. Roasted malt, coffee and plain chocolate in the aroma. Roasted taste with coffee, malt and a slightly sour hint. A bit thin, but still rather enjoyable.

had in Paris. Decent barley aroma, dark colour and tasting smooth like a guinness but more watery. In fact almost like a guinness with a shot of water in it, and a slight fruity sweetness to it. Okay for a house beer.

Draft in Bordeaux. A dark nut-brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of nuts and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of nuts and malt as well as hints of butter, leading to a dry nutty finish.
