Jun ’14. On tap at 3rd Zagreb homebrew competition. It poured lightly hazy copper body with medium sized head. Mostly malty, biscuit and fruity aroma with interesting soft note of orange or general citrus hops. Flavor was very lightly bitter, herbal and well balanced with toast and biscuit malty counterpart. Some spices might be present, too. Medium bodied with moderate biscuit finish. Really a pleasant beer for the style.

On tap at the 3rd Croatian Homebrew Championship. Hazy orange coloured, medium sized off-white head, mild hoppy nose. Moderate malty, caramel and herbal hops with notes of fruits in bitterish finish. Good one.

Tap at RJ. Aroma hay, earthy, grassy. Typical English earthy. Hazy orange-amber colour. Rather stable head. Taste is earthy, British hop character. Hay, lightly sourish. Overall mostly bitter and hoppy, malt provides subtle background. Good beer, not exactly my style though.

Huge thanks to the Mekfartin guys who put it on tap at the 3rd Croatian Homebrew Competition (commercial version of course). The aroma is nicely balancing some sweetish, slightly papery (?!) matiness with some herbal hoppy notes. Toasty, sweetish nice bitter, nice notes of bitter orange. Definitely an interesting beer and I’m sure it deserved the grand prize. I hope to try it in more adequate surroundings, but I could definitely get enough.
