Bottle. Aroma fruity, prunes, liggtly roasted. Dark brown colour. Taste is really sour, which beats anything else. This is spoiled, as much as I hate to say it.

Ogi’s, from Vrutak (thanks!). Edition 3, 1066/1700. Poured a dark brown body with a small off white head. Malty aroma, slightly alcoholic, light plum jam, light alcohol, kinda pleasant but not exciting, and that’s it. Give it to someone in a blind tasting and they won’t have a clue that it’s barrel aged. Taste... weak plum jam, creamy, malty, sightly sourish, too light, no real barrel notes, only light raisins. Not much of anything and too tart for the style. A complete letdown, not worth the bottle it’s in and the 10€ paid for it. Not even close. Ummm... is this brewery only capable of doing good/great stouts?

Bottle. Dark caramel with a thin head. Aroma is toffee malt, some nuts. Flavour is biscuit, plenty of coffee, hints of whiskey on a smooth velvet finish.

Edition 3 Bottle # 356 out of 1700. Pours a viscous black into the tulip glass, some reddish brown around the edges. Off white to tan head that dissipates quickly. Toffee, brown bread, and juicy dark fruit aroma. Taste is oily, fruity, floral, butterscotch, some banana there too. Full mouthfeel, almost zero booze which is very nice, easy to drink. Really nice Barleywine, could maybe use more hops overall, the barrel aging doesn’t really come through like some other ones I’ve had, but it definitely mellowed the flavor nicely.
