Bottle from Biernavigatie, dated 15-09-16 BB 15-09-21, large sample. Dark brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of lots of bourbon, cookie, booze, bit vanilla, some roast, bit spicy yeast, dark fruit, figs, milk chocolat, slight ashes and tar even. Quite sweet underneath the booze and alcohol, caramel sweetness, milk chocolate, praline. Enjoyable, but not that impressive. Ok-ish. Maybe Im still expecting too much of de Molen.

[9/23/16] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2016 in Bodegraven. Day one. Black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, wood, vanilla. Great sweet flavor with chocolate, caramel, vanilla, cookies. Full-bodied. Great.

Tap@Borefts 2016, Bodegraven - pours dark brown verging black with a dark beige head. Sweet and roasted malty aroma and taste with sweet treacle, caramel and chocolate, some nice vanilla and bourbon interplay into the close. Nice.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Nice lacing. Aromas of earthy toffee and malt, light vanilla. Taste is light boozy, sweet, toffee and vanilla. Clean, light hot finish.

At BBF, deep brown with some Red taints,dominant vanila aroma with dried fruits, flavor of dried fruits and chocolate, mellow bitterness. Nice and not too heavy.

From tap. Pours hasy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is caramelishand toasted malty. Sweet, malty and caramelish. Toasted malty. Sweet and malty far finish.

Sampled at Borefts 2016, Bodegraven. Pitch black pour. Notes of cocoa, sherry, cherries, some coffee and roasted malts. Full bodied with a low carbonation and a sweet finish. 3.8 Re-sampled from bottle. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Notes of bourbon, chocolate, cherries, sherry, vanilla, oak, roasted coffee beans.
