Bottle, courtesy of MiP. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with bready notes and hoppy touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of malt and yeast. Lingering bitter aftertaste with bready notes, not very pleasant. Drinkable but less than impressive for the style.

Bottle, 6%. Metallic aroma. Strong industrial malt and alcohol notes. Fairly clear dark golden colour. Big stable tight creamy white head. The flavour is quite bitter and a little boozy, but much better than the aroma. Long, lingering astringent bitterness. Dry finish.

bottle from Lidl, brewed by HOLS in Liberec-Vratislavice nad Nisou. Deep golden with a copper glow, tall white head. Malty, some diacetyl, some caramel and pleasant hoppy flavours. Smooth in the palate. Quite nice!

Lahev (Německý LIDL, z pivovaru HOLBA, Reichenberg-Maffersdorf, ČR; díky pane vedoucí!): Bohemian-golden, not completely clear, small and slowly vanishing white foamy layer; mild bitter-grainy nose, a bit - but unfortunately just a bit - buttery, but also a bit boozy, too; robust bitter-sweet flavour, surely medium bodied, a bit tart, nevertheless; lingering and drier bitter and a bit alcoholic finish. To se dá pít, ale žádná sláva, kde je Žátecký chmel...

Lidl haul from a few weeks ago. 0,5 l bottle. Clear dark golden in the glass, more steady than one finger white foamy head. Looks too good. Let´s test. Grainy smell, some caramel. Taste starts with a grainy bitterness. Some diacetyl as expected but also an unpleasant metallic part. A lot of caramel with somd sweetness in the second part. Thins out to the end. Looks way better than its taste.

0.5 l bottle from local 'LIDL', best before November 2020. Clear, deep amber with a thin, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, a little floral and minimally grassy-spicy aroma of honey, grains, some butter and traces of hay. Gently sweet, slightly malty, moderately bitter, a little grassy-spicy taste of honey, caramel some butter and a touch of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and maybe minimally metallic finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not too bad.
