And it’s better than ever – Amphiprion is even brighter, sourer, berrier! We added more of Russia’s signature orange berry into this sour ale and reduced the proof to 5.6%. The refreshing sour taste of sea buckthorn in bright, watercolour shades – the colour of next year, no less. That’s straight from Pantone.

17/3/2020. Bottle from Beer Republic online store. Pours lumpy murky pale orange gold with minimal head. Aroma of yeast, herbs, sea salt, seaweed, lemon zest and bitter grapefruit. Moderate sweetness with medium bitterness and tartness and a light salty edge. Moderate body, a little fizzy. Tasted and smelled so much better than it looked!

500ml bottle. Murky, yellow-ish golden colour, no head, some tiny chunks (sea buckthorn?) floating on top. Sweet-ish fruity aroma, notes of sea buckthorn with a touch of dog shit. Taste is tartish fruity, notes of sea buckthorn, unripe peach, some mirabelle. Quite strange.

On tap at Vrteška. Murky amber-yellow body. Lacto aroma, salty. Salty and sweet taste, funky, light, well, what I’ve noted as pineapple, but might as well be sea buckthorn from what I know. All in all, taste-wise anything but a saison, probably recipe-wise too, but hey, and still a very good beer.
