Feb. ’16. A 0.65 l bottle from Pivoteka, Zagreb. It poured almost clear copper (mračno je, ne vidin) body with a small, short living head. Strong aroma of bourbon, alcohol, caramel, vanilla, touched with yeast. Not bad at all! Flavor was lightly sweet, with caramel, dried and dark fruits. Also lightly bitter/sour with wood and alcohol, especially towards the finish. Medium bodied with lots of carbonation on palate. Long finish, bitter, wood, bourbon, lightly sour peat and other subtle things and spices. Very nice aftertaste. Barrel aging distanced it from being too Belgian, seemed more like some barley wine. Even though I was not so impressed at first, it was definitely a pleasant and an interesting brew.

From Pivoteka, shared with Mario, thanks! Unsure of the vintage - 75% "ale with fruit with vanilla beans added, 25% ale aged in bourbon barrels." Shiny ruby-brown body with a tiny off white head. Aroma - raisins and vague bourbon. Taste... raisins, fruity in general, vague tartness, light coffee, far from excessively sour, mild puckering. Slightly dry finish, notes of grapes. Actually a very nice beer, without being a thriller.
