Intense greens of fresh hops bursting with fruitiness filled his senses. Rich yellows and golds of malted barley adding subtle sweet tones to the vibrant coloured show. The setting sun started to turn red and, as its light subsided, he was filled with a mellow bitterness and the blues of wanting more.

On tap at Haandgemeng. A golden-orange beer, unclear, with an off-white head. Nice lacing. The aroma is piney and citrusy, grapefruit and a touch of orange, with pale malt hints in the far back. It's full-bodied, quite dry and smooth on the palate, and pleasantly carbonated. A nice bitterness lasts forever, in the good company of piney hops and some citrus, mostly grapefruit. Not the most complex IPA I've had, by far, but who needs complexity when it's as good as this one. 170127

(Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 18 Oct 2019) Hazy golden colour amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange peel, mandarin and pink grapefruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of pink grapefruit, orange peel, apricots, resin, caramel and a generous citric/resiny bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Sharp but fresh bitterness with a solid hop presence. Very nice.

Draught Fully hazy ochre-orange beer with a small fluffy off-white head. Straw, dry hopbales, Hessian sacks, dried orangepeel. Bitterish, light fruity flavour, citruspeel, grapefruit. Pretty slick, feels better bodied than it probably is. Spritzy carbonation. Quite nice IPA.
