This beer uses four classic American hops, Amarillo, Chinook, Citra and Centennial, giving flavours and aromas of pine, citrus, and stone fruits in abundance. These sit on a base of Pale, Munich and light crystal malts that support the hops and bring out flavours reminiscent of pastry dough and bread crust. A fantastic homage to our friends across the pond!

Bottle from Jacks, Westholme Stores consumed with Fred on Thursday 23rd January 2014. Pours golden, good hoppy bite, not read the bottle so unsure of the hops but they are coming across well. A little fruitiness shows with some sweet orange prominent, nice beer. Fred also liked this beer, admittedly I’ve had better from Tap East, but this is good. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Bottle at home, from Utobeer, 10/01/14. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a moderate off white covering. Nose is toasted malt, bitter orange, light apple notes, faint pine. Taste comprises light hops, grassy, citric tang, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy bitter notes in the finish. Drinkable but falls a long way short of other APA’s brewed in London, more akin to a golden blonde.

Bottle. An unclear, golden beer with a dense, off-white head of moderates size. The aroma is very piney and citrus peel-ish, with some maltyness in the back. It’s hop driven in the flavor too, bitter but not too bitter, there’s some sweetness but just enough to keep it sort of balanced. Medium to full body, soft carbonation and quite dryish. Bitter, orangey finish. An easy drinking and tasteful beer that doesn’t impress. But I wouldn’t hesitate drinking it again. 131214

Bottled 330ml ABM. Hazy dark yellow color, small off-white head. Citrus, grass and gooseberry in the nose. Medium-bodied. Fruity bitterness in the front, citrus, light maltyness leading to resiny aftertaste. A bit empty maybe, but lots of flavor for 4.4 % beer.
