473ml can. Pours a clear dark brown with red hue and a small, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, raisin and coffee in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with a sticky, watery texture and soft carbonation. A bit sweet, but still tasty.

Blackish brown body and modest beige foam on top that's gone far too fast. Smells of sweet dark caramel and molasses. Flavour is chewy roasted barley with tin notes. Full enough on the mouth, but highly substandard. Would work well as a stout for those who just don't care.

On tap at Vancouver Island, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and a touch of sweet caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt, caramel and bready notes. Malty and fairly bold for the style. Good stuff.

Bottled 341ml. -courtesy of Marko, thanks. Almost black coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, light caramel in the nose. Light vinous malty, toasted also, notes of caramel and touch of grain with short sweetish finish.

0.33 bottle Marko got for his birthday. Shared with Ena, Heavy, Ogi and Marko. Thanks! Dark brown, small beige head. Dark malts, caramel, brown sugar, toasty. Wood, dark malts, dark bread. Medium body, very lasting finish, slightly too sweet. Nice one.

Bottle, 0.341. Thanks Mak K.! :D Chestnut brown, small off white head. Huh, lean aroma, herbal touches, dry maltiness, vaguely metallic. Creamy malty taste, yoghurty, pure dark malts really, bit grainy. A solid dunkel, not thrilling at all, but glad to have tried it anyway!

Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver
Dark colour, near black, small beige head. The aroma of roasty malts and fire oven bread is nice, the flavour is not presenting the same elements; dry mouthfeel.
ok Schwarzbier.

Taster at the brewery with Farees and Brian during Zwanze Day. Pours an almost black with a tan head. Aroma is a bit smoky with roasted malt notes. Taste is very simple along the same line. Quite good.

An easy drinking schwatzbier, some toffee but pretty light and wants for body and sugars to let those nice dark malts shine more.
