9 August 2018. At Craft Room, Zagreb. Cheers to Anke!
Sample. Hazy dark golden, almost orange, with a lasting, foamy, off-white head; little lacing. Aroma of grapefruit peel, lime juice, lemon zest, lactic acid, hay, dank cheese, sourdough (all courtesy of the yoghurt, I presume). Medium fruity sour onset, quite lemony, sour grapefruit, making way for a light hoppy bitterness that is both grassy & hay-like, a bit yeasty. Tart, dryish, peppery hoppy finish, lingering sour fruit & lactic acid. Medium body, slick/oily texture, soft carbonation. I was unaware of the two 'surprise' ingredients; only missed out on the salt, then. Also, not a bad try at Sour IPA.

0.33 bottle from Leopold's, Split. Shared with the waiters. Hazy golden, small off-white head. Aroma is dried stone fruit such as apricot or peach, melon. Light herbal notes. Lightly funky. Fruit yoghurt. Flavours are dried apricots, slightly salty, some herbs. Low bitterness. Nice mild sourness. Medium body, very drinkable. Soft to moderate carbonation. Soft texture. Fruity finish. Hops a bit low in this one.

Bottle, 0.33l. Deep copper pour, thin off-white layer on top. Some lacing on the glass. Surprisingly usual nose, lots of fruity hop notes combined with herbal background. Thin to medium body, medium carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture. Taste is mostly sour with some bitter notes. To be honest, I was a bit sceptical towards this one, not everyone is mad enough to brew beer with yogurt and sea salt... Ok, Omnipollo would probably do it. Anyways! It tastes surprisingly normal for what it is. Sour IPA, malty background, herbal hop notes, somewhat fruity. Balanced sour and mild salty aftertaste, drying mouthfeel and finish. Overall, pretty good actually. Well balanced and interesting beer. Perhaps lacking in hops a bit bit otherwise ok.

Tap at Craft Room. Misty dark orange body. Tart aroma, brown sugar, pineapple. Smooth taste, medium malty body, miild pineapple, dry, tart and salty in the finish. Not particularly great and definitely missing hops for an IPA of any kind, still, quite solid and moreish in a strange way. Glad to have tried it!
