IRON MAIDEN vocalist and ale aficionado Bruce Dickinson and Robinsons’ Head Brewer, Martyn Weeks have crafted LIGHT BRIGADE a unique interpretation of a sessionable golden ale. At 4.1% ABV in 500ml bottle, LIGHT BRIGADE is lower in ABV but still has all the powerful flavours you’d expect from TROOPER.

Quite thin and low in flavor. Not really exciting. Pale yellow color and a small white top. Mild aroma. Light body and a soft carbonation level. Mild citric flavor.

Cask @ Victoria Inn, Llanbedr. Golden with a small head. Has a hoppy nose and a dry hoppy taste, and is bland tasting for it.

500ml bottle at home on 21st April 2018. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Pours a lovely golden colour, clean and clear, on top a decent white crown of foaming bubbles. Hop front in the aroma, not so dominate in the flavour, fruity and biscuity in nature, light citrus feel throughout. Went nicely with some Dutch Maasdam and cheesy biscuits.

Cask at the Southwark Tavern, Borough market. A bright pale amber pour with a tight white head; elderflower aroma; sweet and fruity taste to start with a biscuity body; then drier with a citrusy tang. An elegant, yet satisfying beer.
