Fruit Gose with mango, guava and passionfruit, by Slovenia's most popular craft brewery, again thanks to Davor. Egg-white, mousy, thinnish and quickly opening head, cloudy 'yolk yellow' blonde robe with warmer apricot hue. Aroma of does reveal a touch of mango, but passionfruit and guava remain all but unnoticeable, drowned in more powerful impressions of Sauerkraut, fresh wakame salad, sourdough, salted lemon flesh, raw gherkin, unripe peach, freshly cut sorrel. Lemony acidity in the onset, some vivid fruit sourness more than the sweetness I was expecting based on the fruit that went in here, probably reinforced by the lactic sourness which consistently yet elegantly dries the palate; samphire, Sauerkraut and fresh green seaweed accents announce a saltiness that develops towards the finish, aside a 'fluffy' bready-wheaty maltiness with clear soapiness from the wheat. Dry, fresh, quenching finish with a chalky note and a late, very subtly earthy hop bitterish hint; the saltiness and sourness remain outspoken till the end, again largely drowning whatever tropical fruit effects were intended by the addition of very subtle mango, even more subtle passionfruit and hardly noticeable guava. I didn't read the label in advance - I rarely do so in order to remain as unbiased as possible - and I did suspect the presence of some or other fruit, but never did I realize that three different tropical fruits were applied here, and feels like a missed opportunity that they get largely lost in the whole. I see other reviews here talking about much clearer mango, guava and passionfruit presence so maybe it's the batch, but all three are quite expressive in terms of aroma and taste and at least in the bottle I got, all three of them remained sadly understated. That aside, however, this is, in its base, a very decently made Gose, with the classic combo of sourness and saltiness having been very well executed - and that is quite often not the case in these 'young' craft scene Goses. Have an extra point for getting that balance right!

On tap at Cajt, Zagreb. Unclear yellow with medium white head. Citrus, grapefruit, some lemon, nice smooth texture. Moderate sourness. Medium bodied.

Bottle, 0.33l. Murky orange pour, no head. Very juice-like appearance. Nose follows with lots of fruity notes. Strong raspberry, some citrus tart, notes of mango. Quite refreshing. Thin to medium body, medium carbonation. Light texture, prickly mouthfeel. Sour and salty taste, good balance between the two. Aroma follows the nose with strong fruity character. Raspberry, citrus tart, mango and passion fruit. Mildly herbal background. Salty aftertaste. Medium lasting finish, sour, salty and slightly drying. Overall, pretty good example of the style. Tasty.

Bottle. Malty aroma, lots of exotic fruit. Malty taste, exotic fruit, salt, lactose, medium sour. Medium body, fruity sour finish with salty notes. Very good.

On tap @ 6. Cameralov festival mikropivovarjev. Aroma of mango, passion fruit, guava, cereals and some funk. Pours murky orange yellow color with thin quickly diminishing white white head. Tastes as tropical fruit juice, slightly salty and a bit funky, almost without any bitterness. Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. Club tropicana...

Hazy, yellow to orange colored, medium white head. Aroma is mostly tropical fruit, mango and passion fruit, bit orange, bit tart. Taste is medium sweet, lots of juicy tropical fruit again, some orange and some salt, light bitterness, light+ sourness, dry finish. Medium to light bodied, average carbonation.

On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Color succo d'arancia, torbida, opalescente, schiuma bianca medio leggera, non molto persistente. Al naso una spremuta di mango e passionfruit, arancia, yogurt. In bocca è fruttata acida, fresca, con finale salato. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-leggera. Discreta.
