The root systems of many plants play host to incredible relationships between the roots themselves and fungi that dwell on them. The former provides solar-generated carbon whilst the latter provides soil nutrients – a truly ingenious symbiotic relationship. In our Symbiosis series, we pair two hops that will play well together and build on their respective strengths. Solanum combines Australian Vic's Secret and the new experimental BRU_1 hop. Apparently, this has produced pure pineapple juice! Having been the first time we've used either of these hops, we're unsure who's doing what...but it's tasty so get it up your face!

On tap at Craft Room Zagreb. Hazy yellow/orange coloured, medium sized white head, some pineapple in the nose. Moderate malty, pineapple, tropical fruits and touch of herbs with pretty strong bitterness in the finish.

On tap at Craft Room. Murky yellow, white head. Lovely aroma, tropical fruity, but pineapple does come out. Light brown sugar. Mild taste, bit dry but juicy nuff, random tropical fruit, light herbal touch. Almost no bitterness in the taste, but it does build up way in the back of my mouth later on. Quite a nice go at the style.
