Appearance- very dark, pretty much black, no head whatsoever. Aroma- lots of chocolate, dark malts, chocolate milkshake, biscuits, hint of vanilla sweetness. Taste- coffee and chocolate, chocolate and caramel biscuit, burnt toast, undertones of vanilla sweetness. More vanilla and peppery dark fruits (blackcurrant) emerge as it warms. Smoky finish, fairly thin mouthfeel. Not bad, plenty going on for the abv.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark brown and opaque. Nose - toffee, chocolate and vanilla. Taste - more of the same with smoke at the back. Palate - the initial note makes you think it is quite full but it’s very thin in the middle reflecting the ABV. Overall - it’s alright for the low ABV.
