Draught. Black colour with a small brown creamy head. Aroma is peated malts, some mild aloe vera like notes, with chocolate and mild roasted maltiness. Flavour is quite similar, with a mild touch of blood/metal to it. Not the most wellbalanced impy around...

On tap at The Beer Market, pours jet black with a small brown head. Nose reveals notes of whiskey upfront, followed by wood and light peat. Flavour is hugely peated, with massive fire and smoke upfront, followed by roasted malt. Massive body with probably a bit too much peat for me. Good for what it is but a bit too much.

Keg at the 32nd WHOAF, 21/11/14. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is spice, dark fruits, TCP, light plastic, dark berry notes, charr, liqourice. Taste comprises bitter roast, more TCP and medicinals, chocolate, dark toffee, charr, peated whisky BA notes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, lightly warming alcohol in the close. Ok impy but a bit of a one trick pony, ie TCP heavy.

Cask at 32nd WHOAF. It pours hjet black with a decent tan head. The nose is sweet cola cubes, candy, smoked peat, whisky, juicy, medicinal, rich and filthy. The taste is rich, earthy, roasty, medicinal, whisky, spice, toffee, treacle, catered wood and light tar with a drying finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Big peaty whisky mofo. Great stuff!

Keg at Grapes, Oxford Saturday 8th November 2014 Islay cask aged, a little germolene in fact a lot of germolene, elastoplast and all manner of Islay cack. Black in colour with soft creamy beige head. Not my thing, I gave it to dad. This is reminiscent of the Bath Sulis Islay. A4 A4 T4 P3 Ov17 2.2
