Cask at Jugged Hare. Slightly hazy golden with a small, white head. Aroma is faint caramel and grass. Taste offers more with a slightly bitter hoppy tone, some caramel and citrus. Very nicely drinkable.

Cask pint at The Jugged Hare, Barbican, as Jugged Hare Pale Ale. Brewery was not mentioned on the pumpclip. Golden colour, white head. Toffee and caramel aroma. Toffee and some decent hops in the flavour. Okay.

Two pints at the Jugged Hare at Barbican. A nice looking and quite hazy pint that was served at the perfect temperature. Lots of really bitter hops and only a little malt. This was all about the bitterness and I liked it a lot. It was perfect for the food and it cut through the inherent fattiness of the game. A good pint.
