Family tree explores the relationship between a family of first class hops: Nugget, Simcoe and Mosaic. The exotic fruit, spice and earthiness of Nugget and the stone fruit and piney flavours of Simcoe have been bred together to create Mosaic - an excitingly complex eliciting the characteristics of both its parents, and much more. Here we can see how the three get along together, as one hoppy family.

Bottle from Corks of North Street. Copper coloured and hazy with a decent, beige head. Aroma of lime and mango, with an earthy malt kick that verged on the spicy. Full-bodied flavour, with blood orange and bruised apricots, dense, almost rye like malts and a dryish finish with a whiff of pine. A lot going on and enjoying to drink.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Lumpy, amber colour. Film and persistent halo of amber head. Raspberry jam. Grapefruit marmalade. Ginger. All very sweet. Taste is jammy sweet. A little spiciness. Light bitter. Palate is chewy and oily. Fine carbonation adds to the chewiness. Finish is light bitter. Nice enough, but needs a dollop more bitterness for me.
