On tap at Brewdog Birmingham, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of fruity, piney hops, and residual sugars. Flavour is harsh, with lots of dirty earthiness and residual sugars. Nothing refined at all about this. Not too good.

Cask at Beer Emporium Bristol. It pours clear deep amber with a small off-white head. The nose is fresh, juicy pine, resin, toffee, orange sponge cake and light bubblegum. The taste is bitter, pine, resin, old leather armchair, orange peel, toffee, varnish, pepper and warming alcohol with a dry, resinous finish. Medium+ body and soft carbonation. Got a nice buzz after smashing a half. Safer option than regular meth. Decent, but heavy duty (on cask anyhow).

Cask at the Euston tap. Light amber orange coloured pour with a lasting dense off white head. Aroma is candied toffee, sugars, candy floss, some resin. Flavour is composed of golden syrup, toffee and earthy resinous hop in the finish. Some hot alcohols in the finish, some lace. Palate is chewy sticky sweet. Lingering alcohol bite. I’m not addicted.

Cask-conditioned at the Portcullis, Bristol, 9/5/2014. Deep amber in colour with a slight, off-whitehead. Tropical fruits, sweetish malts, plenty of pine, leading to a hugely bitter, rasping, finish. Extreme stuff, but a half pint was enjoyable.
