(Bottle) Black colour with firm, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of oak wood, coffee, dark chocolate, ashes and some port wine. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with black coffee, oak wood, dark chocolate, red wine, raisins, some tannins, liquorice and a slight acidity in a finish with a balanced roasty bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. The wood and tannins gives it a slight harshness. But really solid and tasty. Nice one.

Flaska från SB. 2013 vintage. Tack Vignale. Vinös åt det saftigare hållet, lite bäriga tanniner och smakar lite åt gammal svartvinbärssaft. Chokladtonerna finns där också men mycket kropp har försvunnit.

Flaska från SB. 2013 vintage. Har nog passerat BBD för ett tag sedan. Vinös åt det saftigare hållet, lite bäriga tanniner och smakar lite åt gammal svartvinbärssaft. Chokladtonerna finns där också men mycket kropp har försvunnit. Ok+

Appearance: Dark amber colour with a small off-white head.
Aroma: Vinous, malt, fruit, chocolate, bourbon.
Body: Body a bit on the thin side, low carbonation.
Flavour: Fruit, bourbon, chocolate, malt.

A black beer with a dark brown hear. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, coffee, wood, and alcohol, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Sehr dunkel braune Farbe, mittelgroße bräunliche schaumkrone. Geruch schokoladig, rote Früchte, Vanille, holzig. Geschmack süß Röstmalzig, schokoladig, Vanille, rote Früchte, holzig, leicht alkoholisch.

Bottled@SBWF2015. Deep ambery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is red wine, some floral, mild fruity and quite ashy notes to it. Flavour is fruity, floral, liquorice, some wood, red wine and mild toffeeish notes.

Bottle at SBWF2015. Dark brown color, beige creamy head. Aroma has whiskey, vanilla, roasted malts, light earthy red wine notes. Medium-bodied. Roasted malts, some vanilla-bourbon, red wineish notes. Berries. Smooth, balanced.

Bottle @sbwf15. Pitch black in color with a thick off white head. Woody, tart notes , red wine notes, licorice and roastedness. Complex. Flavor has red wine notes, warming alcohol, wood and licorice. Surprisingly thin for this abv. Loong finish. Excellent.
