Cask at the Rake. Pours dark brown with a stong, tan head. Dar, roast malt aroma. Semi-sweet with lots of char and tobacco, roasty bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet with lots of lingering char, tar and bitter coffee, plus some light cheese. Really good overall.

At the brewery tap, the Griffin, Frome 6/12/08. Near black with a creamy, tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and toffee. Falvour was sweetish, with some milk chocolate, roastiness and decent bitter finish. Light, easy drinking.
