Near black with a frothy tan head and a roasted malt aroma. Quite light bodied, coffee notes and fully roasted malt with some sweetish dark fruit pulling through

Handpull cask at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester as Frome Zig Zag. Dark ruby brown and translucent with a small beige/khaki head and lacing down the glass. Malty aroma with chicokate and some coffee. Tastes gorgeous with a plummy hoppy bitterness balancing the initial sweetness. Long finish. More stone fruit and Ethiopian coffee in the aftertaste. Silky smooth body bit slightly watery. All in all lovely.

From cask by gravity on the second day at Plymouth Camra Beer Festival 2016. Deep dark ruby coloured body. Lacing rings down the glass from a fading fawn-coloured head. Roasted malty aroma with hints of dark berries. Similar taste of dark fruits, liquorice and chocolate malts. Roasted endnotes. Easy to drink and feels a bit thin bodied in the mouth. Just alright (Shared with Finn 24.09.2016).

Cask @ Shepherds Hall Ale House, Chorley. Extremely dark with a creamy off-white head. Relatively smooth tasting, quite milky too as the name suggests. Some darker malt sweetness in its nose.
