Keg at the brewery. Many thanks to the Black IPA king Colin for spotting this one. Opaque black caramel brown coloured pour with a lasting cream coloured head. Keg. Aroma is dry pine needle, faint roast, burnt grassy hop. Flavour is composed of toasty Roasty malts, pine and burnt grass. Nice sharp lemon citrus hop character lingers on the tongue. Palate is highly carbonated and chalky on the tongue. Decent CDA.

Keg at the tap room. It pours near black with a small beige head. Particularly nice looking. The nose is rich roast, earth, candied peel, citrus, treacle and dirt. The taste is bitter-sweet, roasty, earth, treacle, citrus peel, plum skin and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent cda.

Keg at the brewery - all hail this CDA finder for asking the question of the mystery end tap from the small batch range ! 13/09/14. Light black meets extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is bitter roast, pine, charr, bitter grapefruit, spice. Taste comprises bitter grapefruit, dark malts, liqourice, spice, light cocoa rub, red berry skins, pine coating. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with pine and earthy hop bitterness. Decent CDA - boxes all ticked!
