330 ml bottle. Dark brown amber body, almost black with a big, dense beige head. Aroma has dark malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is smooth dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, some roast and hint of fruit. Balanced mild bitterness. Medium body and nice aftertaste. A very smooth and tasty stout.

Bei schwarzen Bieren sind die europäischen Inselbewohner ja recht gut, so kann man beim Kauf eines solchen Bieres nicht viel falsch machen. SO auch bei diesem. Es hat eine röstmalzige Note und einen leichten Schwarzbrottouch. Hopfen merkt man kaum, aber er geht auch nicht ab, da die anderen Aromen so wuchtig sind und auhc gut miteinander harmonieren. Ein wirklich angenehmes Bier.

Taste is slightly dry roasted, weeds, minerals, roasted grain, grass, chocolate, lactose, paper, bark, toast, shed, paper. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle at Four Horsemen, Bournemouth. Dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of roast, smoke, chocolate and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Il naso si inebria di affumicato. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la persistenza olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il cappello di bollicine medie e carbonazione media è di schiuma compatta, cremosa ed ha una buona tenuta. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato ma duttile e ti apre a nuove sfaccettature. Il dolce è medio con buon equilibrio con l'amaro medio. L'intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevolissimo. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono lunghe e inducono a bevuta compulsiva. Il finale è felpato, lungo e pulito. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca riporta sentori di caramello, miele, cioccolato fondente, caffè, liquirizia, frutta secca, pane tostato, arrostito, affumicato, agrumi, luppolo, resina e fiori.

Cask at Andrew Usher’s. Dark brown body with ruby highlights and a thin beige head that fades. No lacing. Aroma of Twiglets, berries and a subtle hint of smoke. Flavour of plastic, chocolate and brown bread. Thin body with a flat, watery texture. Lacks depth and body, even at the relatively low ABV.

330 ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Dark brown to black color with beige brown head. Malty aroma, roasted, smoked, light fruity, bread. Sweet and bitter like aroma. Light thin to oily body with soft carbonation.
