Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours really hazy, murky, dark copper with a transient beige head. Aroma is woody, rye spice and marvelous stone fruits. Like pickled peach minus the pickeling? An aroma that is marvelously new to me. Flavor? There’s tropical and citrus/apple. Amazing. Especially the rye. With wood on tongue edges. Simply amazing flavors. Finishing wood and fruit and rye spice. Not quite dry, but going that way. Frickin delicious!!!

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a clear copper body that supports a tiny white head. The mild aroma is kind of a mix of resiny pine hops and spicy oak with a flash or two of malts off in the background. The taste delivers thick malts and molasses and some burnt sugars, some aged pine hops, spicy oak as well as a nectar sweet goodness here and there that shines some light on the smooth soft bourbon like notes that lurk in the background. This creates a pleasing sipping experience.
