A mind-bending dark ale full of flavour. Made with five carefully selected malts, a sturdy ale yeast married with the deliciously smokey Lapsang Souchong tea. It makes every day feel like Sunday.

Bottle from beer shop, St. Albans. Pours very dark brown with a red tint and a small beige head. Aroma of liquorice, alcohol, chocolate, dark fruits and fruit cake. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft to flat carbonation. Good stuff.

Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Smooth dark malts, a little cream and dark chocolate. Well integrated spicy tea. Bubblegum esters. Spicy dry finish. Interesting and hides the abv well but could not drink a load of this.

Bottle shared at Daniels place. 20/02/2016. Bottle picked up at the brewery. Reddy, mahogany brown coloured pour with a small off white head. Aroma is salty, some spice, cinnamon, ginger. Flavour is composed of chocolate, dark malts, salty, little fruit cake, little earthy, tea. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Lingering earthy dark choc. Good.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours dark murky brown with a small beige head. The nose is rich, oily, black tea, smoked action, umami, dark fruits, plum, umami, smoked meat and fruit cake. The taste is rich, bitter, chewy malt, charred wood, toffee, dark fruits, some alcohol boost, smoke, umami and earthy roast with a dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A bit weird, but ok. Boost.

Bottle from my Dad found in a deli in Kings Langley, Herts. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Smokey, boozy, peat, tea aroma. Tastes similar, smokey, peat, tea, hint of chocolate. Really unusual, I liked this one.
