Bottle shared in London on the 42nd floor - many thanks to Fergus. Pours clear gold with a frothy off-white head. Pale grains in the aroma, rindy citrus, hay. Light sweet flavor with dried grains, more citrus rind, grain husk, melon. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. OK balance on the finish, more rind, a little ash, dirty hay. Not bad.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Hazy amber with a ring of white head; malty aroma; malty taste with a touch of caramel; and a malty finish. Disappointing, no sign of the heather.

Cask @ Cob and Pen, Rhyl [230314]
Dark amber, clear, thin off white head, good lacing
Aroma of light sweet malts, honey, some damp hay
Taste of cereal malts, hint of hay, slight honey, slight bitter hop, light fruits, not getting the heather
Palate - Medium body, quite oily, soft sweet palate, slight bitter finish
Overall - Very average
