Named after a village near Wrexham, this beer was brewed for Heston Blumenthal's show Pub in a Pie. A delicate amber ale with heather flowers steeped into the beer as it ferments giving it a soft herbal/floral aroma and flavour.

Bottle shared in London on the 42nd floor - many thanks to Fergus. Pours clear gold with a frothy off-white head. Pale grains in the aroma, rindy citrus, hay. Light sweet flavor with dried grains, more citrus rind, grain husk, melon. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. OK balance on the finish, more rind, a little ash, dirty hay. Not bad.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Hazy amber with a ring of white head; malty aroma; malty taste with a touch of caramel; and a malty finish. Disappointing, no sign of the heather.
