[500ml bottle shared with Dad - cheers!] Deep brown, no head. Smells of coffee, cough mixture & vanilla. Coffee is dominant in the flavour too, with chocolate coming through again and a little woodiness. There’s a hint of sour plums in there, and some dusty bitterness, but really not enough to balance out the sweetness. It might make a good dessert beer, maybe to accompany chocolate pudding, but on its own it’s just a tad too sweet and sticky. Still an OK beer though.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost black. Frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, liquorice, raisins, coffee and a touch of smoke. Malty, roasted taste with milky chocolate, smooth coffee, liquorice, dark fruit, some smoke and dark rye bread. Balanced cocoa bitterness. Body feels slightly thin, with just a touch of sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice and tasty porter.

Big brown head doesn’t last. Nearly black body is translucent at edges. Burnt dusty straw aroma with coke and licorice notes. Dryish-sweetish fruity burnt dusty taste. Light body. Soft mouthfeel. Dry burnt sooty pine needle aftertaste with resiny wooden notes. Some chocolate, too. Very nice! (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and bread as well as a light touch of butter. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of butter, straw, caramel, bread, and brown sugar. Reminds me of a Czech beer - please remove the butter note.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a rough, beige head. Burned malts in the nose and a whiff of raisins. Medium body, burned malt, some licorice and a fairly malt bitter finish. 131108
