33o ml bottle, found in an African shop in Berlin Rating from somewhere before 2007.

Bottle. Clear golden color, thin but firm head. Sweet hops nose. Aroma is flat, boring.

Courtesy of my friend Maria
Pale blond color, hazy; medium sized head. Light malt aroma, decent for an African beer. The mouthfeel is quite light; there is almost no flavor; the bitterness is on the low side. Very simple, just an alternative to water.

Ghana Cafe, DC 625ml ($8): Pours a pale gold with a white head. Aroma is mostly of corn. The taste is sweet corn and barely any hops. This was the worst of the African beers that I tried today. Basically corny sweetness takes over all the other flavors and that is simply not interesting or pleasant to drink. Club Premium Lager was better.

At a tasting, thanks dad, clear light yellow, lightish malt and rubber, unidentifiable base material in the flavour, strong coarse bitterness. Really bad!!!

Sample at the Beer ’N Rock Band tasting on 08/27/2010: The beer is a clear straw color with a thin and foamy white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Thin sheet of lacing on the glass. Barely detectable grainy malt aroma. Light body with malt and faint hops and leather flavors. The finish is short and mildly malty. Below average overall.

Bottle avail. all over Ghana. Suggest to drink the small version rather than the 625ml version, especially if you end up in Upper region where refrigeration is often an issue and your beer ends up warm in 10 minutes. Pours clear golden, white head. Aroma grainy, malty, some hints of wheat and barley and notes of sweetness. Flavors, pale malts, gritz and added maize sweeteners, metallic corn and watery finish. Fizzy bitter mouthfeel.

Bottled 625ml. -as Star Cold Filtered.
Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, honeyish cardboard nose. Water with notes of brewing cereals and vegetables. Quite tasteless but could be worse.

Pale gold. No head. Very grassy. Straw-accented aroma. Mild bitterness with herbal, spicy hop. Very thin and alkaline. Too fizzy. Poor flavour development.
