Keg at Old Fountain. It pours near black with a small beige head. The nose is milk chocolate, coffee, earth, roasted malt, dirt and some creaminess. The taste is bitter-sweet, toasty, coffee, milk chocolate, charred wood, light alcohol warmth, earth and pepper with a bitter-roasty finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. All comes together rather well. Pretty drinkable stuff, especially given the abv.

Sample at CBC 2014. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly round light tan head. The aroma is grassy hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a grassy nettle hop pepper spice palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. More like a black IPA than a stout.

Sampled @ CBC 2014 as Brodies Mocha Milk Stout. Dark brown color, small off-white head. Loads of coffee, espresso, a slightly softening caramellic touch. A bit hard to describe. Velvety mouthfeel. Average body and carbonation. Decent beer. [8-3-7-2-14] -- Re-rate August 2014: Draught @ Brewdog Shepherd’s Bush. Black color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, loads and loads of coffee, lots of roastyness, nicely bitter. Wow that will get your head spinning from the cafeïne.
