At over 100 IBUs, Therapist is surprisingly easy to drink. Big, bold hop aromas and flavors of citrus, tropical fruits and pine are bracketed by light malty sweetness that does not overpower. A healthy addition of wheat in the grain bill adds to the body and mouthfeel.

This beer pours a clear bright golden color with a medium foamy white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Aroma of citrus, piney hops and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of resiny hops, tropical fruit and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hop and grapefruit aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is very fruity/citrus/mildly spicy and earthy/dank. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is heading towards dank, and it’s fruity, maybe with some resin. It isn’t really very dry, but ya gotta have heavy support for all the hop. Gets a bit peppery/herbal over time. Shockingly good.

From a bomber. Bright citrus and resin. Wheat cracker malt in moderate low amounts. Clear orange with full white head. High bitterness marries well with moderate malt and overt pine and citrus hops.

Bottle, picked up at Wine Club on Nolen’s recommendation, and shared at the Homer "welcome to California" tasting. Pours crystal clear orange with a medium creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates leaving nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is quite dank, lots of grapefruit, pine, wet leaves, a bit of a pot note. Flavor has little sweetness, quite dry and light plus bitter, fruity, citrus and dankness. Medium body. Nice beer coming just short of world class.
