Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Clear, dark ruby. Some suds and a film of dirty white head. Robust aroma of cocoa. Stone fruits. Light citrus. Hint of chocolate. Some coffee bean. A little earthy. Taste is mostly earthy, coffee bean bitter. Good depth. Smooth mouthfeel. Rising bitterness, toward the end getting earthy, pithy, and tart. Tasty gear.

500ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours very dark brown with creamy off-white head. Low carbonation with a smooth hand-pulled mouthfeel. Aroma is nutty brown bread. Taste brings an acute espresso bitterness, roasted malts and light chocolate on the finish. Some light fruity hop moments. Decent but expected more.
