A Dark Mild brewed with mild malt and Kentish Hops leaving a roasted aftertaste on the palate.Mild was originally known as a training beer and this bears relation to the use of the Naval phrase "Midshipman". Meaning A non commissioned officer below the rank of Lieutenant. Usually regarded as being in training to some degree. Was also known as a "Snotty". The lowest form of rank in the Royal Navy where he has authority over and responsibility for more junior ranks, yet at the same time relying on their experience and learning his trade from them.

Bottle 0,5ltr: Very dark brown coloured brew with an fine sweetbitter taste and good hints of coffee and chocolate. Great kind of low alcohol Mild.

Cask at the Tiny Tavern, Lincoln. of black colour with a pale tan head. Aroma and taste are malty sweet chocolate. Dry to finish. Medium body.

From cask at The Dog & Bell, Deptford, with Terje and Jon Einar 16.05.22. Almost ebony. Aroma and taste of roasted dark malt, liquorice, coffee brittle. Balanced with subdued hops. Smooth mouthfeel. Good drinkability, but perhaps a bit spineless.

Third by cask at GBBF Winter 2020, second day, Elgar Bar. Shared with Finn. Ruby black body, naked at the top, dotted spots on the glass. Moderate dark malty aromas. Flavoured with spiced chocolate malts. Roasted endnotes. Easy going.(Birmingham 05.02.2020).

Cask at GBBF Winter: Poured a dark brown with bubble tan. Aroma is very malty. Taste is a malty with a bit butter.
