Keg at The Rake. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is smoke, caramel, candy, honey glazed ham, sugar and wood. The taste is roasted malt, earth, chocolate, alcohol kick, spice, toast, smoke, caramel, decent bitterness, charcoal, dark fruit and candy with a dry, bitter finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Big flavour, yet well-balanced. Tasty stuff.

The Rake. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer with a small pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft and a little dry. Rich creamy malt, touch of caramel and a whisper of chocolate. The smoke is mellow and nicely judged. Finishes smooth and creamy with a light orangey hop that brings some mild balancing bitterness. Pretty easy drinking for a big Impy.
