Keg at the brewpub. Nearly opaque clouded dark purple Burgundy colour with no head. Aroma is big sour raspberry, black cherry, vinegar, sweet jammy fruits. Prickly tangy sour fruit on the nose but too much acetic character. Flavour is composed of sticky sweet full raspberry and cherry, jammy, some tangy sourness, bitter woody fruit pips. Palate is full and sticky sweet, moderate carbonation. Slightly prickly sour in the finish. A bit rough and ready and very sweet.

Keg at the Alma, 05/04/16. Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is tangy red berry, cocoa powder, light charr, damp wood, toffee. Taste comprises tangy raspberry, subtle barrel, chocolate, light spice, light acidic rise, wood must, red berry mash. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering smack. Solid enough sour ... pretty approachable for the ABV.

Keg at the Brewpub. It pours darkest brown with a medium beige head. The nose is fresh, juicy, jammy berry, tangy raspberry, roasted malts, lemon sherbet and funk. The taste is smooth, slightly tart, plenty of tangy raspberry, wood, earthy funk, peppery spice, roasted malts backdrop, lemon peel, some acidity, jam, sherbet, Granny Smith apple and alcohol warmth with a pretty dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent depth of flavour and nice raspberry character. Pretty big, but rather nice anyhow.

Keg at the brewpub. Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy tan heโ€™d. The nose holds tangy raspberry, a little swear, mild dark malts. Light-medium sweet flavor with a hint of booze, earth, tart berries, raspberries, wood, mellow funk, low acidity. Full bodiednwith average carbonation. Warming finish, lightly tannic, with sour berries, slight earthy bitterness, grape skins. Nice complexity, but you can certainly feel the ABV.
