Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 8/1/2015. Dark brown in colour with next to no head. Sweetish malts, plenty of cinnamon and clove, some dark fruits and a dryish finish. Ok.

Handpump at the Bree Louise - Euston, London. Pours clear amber-brown with a faint, white foam head. Mild clove and toast in the nose. Light sweet flavor with big clove presence, some cinnamon, slight leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Modestly sweet to finish with more clove, autumnal spices, toasted bread. Interesting. Decent.

Cask at the Liberty Bounds Spoons. Clear dark brown beer, tidy off white head. Palate is softish but dry. Half a ton of spice in this - tastes like cinnamon and cloves. Dreadfully over spiced! A trace of interesting fruits underneath but it’s all about the dry spice. Dry finish. Couldn’t finish the beer and it drove me San Miguel which was much nicer!
