The northern folk has for centuries brewed a dark hoppy beer infused with oranges as a sacrifice to the black zombie that haunted their village. This recipe was deemed so sacred that it was buried with their last remaining brewer. Never to be seen again, until now. Appearing to one of our brewers in a visionary dream of citrus floral tones mixed with a roasted malt backbone. In your hands now is our ode to the black zombie.

Ingredients: water, barley malt (Pilsner, Caraaroma, Carafa Special III, Caraamber), flavorings, hops (Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe, Citra), yeast.

Olmost black with dark off white head - Dark fruity hop aroma - Malt body with some roast to support a hop profile that is fruity and herbal bitterness - The roasted malt goes into the finish with fruity bitterness - This was nice

Tasting @ Tim's. Pours dark brown, bit of beige head on top. Nose has burnt bread, hop dust, fruity and some citrus zest. Taste has dark roast that has been mellowed by hops and orange peels. Finish has more orange coming out, less roast and more orange juice. Interesting and works quite well.

Dark brown color. Reminds of Cadbury orange chocolate in the nose. Tons of orange, too much orange, with chocolate playing the background. Oranges lingers in the finish. Ok

Can from Brewcraft at home. Dark very slightly translucent cola brown pour with dense fine light tan head. Aroma is ascorbic acid/vitamin c orange with roasted dusty malt. Taste is similar - orange flavor is zesty but again in a vitamin c sort of way. Roasted malt balances but weird overall effect of roastiness with effervescent citric acidity. Some lasting bitterness. Interesting take on a style I like but doesn’t come out right. Wouldn’t get again.

Black color with a fine beige head. Good hoppy aroma with a fine intensity. Medium + body and a smooth carbonation level. Balanced sweetness versus bitterness. Dark malt, grapefruit hoppy, pine, chocolate, fruity and coffee in the flavor. Nice tasty beer.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Lasting, tight fawn-coloured head leaving lacing rings down the glass. Deep dark brown coloured body. Red citrus on the nose, hints of dark malts. Prominent roasted red and dark fruity flavours added by black berries and liquorice. Roasted malt-fruity finish. Well bodied. Good drinking.

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, anise, sour grass, citrus peel, minerals, sour-ish roasted grain, alcohol, hops, bark, fruit stones, orange. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish grassy, weeds, anise, minerals, sour grass, fruit stones, sour-ish roasted grain, hops, bark, paper, hay, orange. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry and harsh grassy mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

Can. Almost clear dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is smooth and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, just a trace of dark chocolate. Mild pine. Light and tangy orange. Good hop spice. Light finish. It’s not bad at all but seems a little hollow. A better malt backbone and more hops would have elevated this.
