This is a devastatingly successful super porter. It features a powerful nose of fresh roasted coffee, some ashiness, and unsweetened coffee. A frothy tan head with a very deep brown body colour. The taste is popping fresh, with roasted coffee, popcorn, saltiness, butter, peanut butter, smoke and an unexpected hop bitterness. It has a super rich body for a 6.7% abv beer, way above the richness expected for a porter. An undercurrent of ripe dark fruit finishes off a powerhouse taste profile. Exceptional brewing.

750ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of caramel, roasted nuts, a spicy touch of soy sauce, blueberry overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty, slightly fruity, notes of caramel, hints of blueberry; smooth and soft palate.

(Bottle) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, black rye bread, prunes, raisins, sweet liquorice, burnt sugar and coffee. Sweet, malty, roasted taste with caramel, strong black coffee, prunes, liquorice, black rye bread, dark chocolate, burnt sugar, treacle and a balanced coffee bitterness. More than medium body, sweet. It's sweet, but I guess that's the idea, considering the name. Still tasty with lots of flavours well integrated. Really nice.

Bottled@Rex, Umeå (backlog). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, some mild toasted notes along with some slight buttery notes. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, some liquorice, mild ashes as well as some slight buttery notes to it. Quite a pleasant brew. Good sipper.
