Keg at the Three Johns, 26/04/17. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is light coffee, spice, mellow roast malts, chocolate. Taste comprises toasted brown sugar, roast malts, chocolate, spice, charr, faint coconut. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough stout.

On tap at the Three Tuns, Bristol 22 April 2017. Jet black in colour, with a slight, beige, head. Masses of coconut, plain chocolate and toasty malts, with a touch of citrus hop before a dryish, slightly boozy, finish. Enjoyable.

Keg at Three Johns. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, plenty of coffee, wood, smoke, charred meats and cocoa. The taste is rich roasted malt, warming, bitter - sweet, dark fruits, red cola, coffee, toasty wood, earth and smooth smoke with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rather solid stuff.
