Can to tulip, the appearance was hazy/cloudy burnt orange almost copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that left some light stringy lace after dissipation.
The aroma had some ruby red grapefruit pulp and rind, sweet to bitter, light lemon juice, sly bit of sweet pine, light black cherries, apricots and a zesty sort of sticky fresh papaya blend at the end.
The flavor was juicy sweet with the bitterness embracing the backbone very well. And steadily lead into the aftertaste to ride nicely into the finish.
The palate was medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt as projected.
Overall, pretty nice DIPA. I’d have that again!
