An IPA that maintains the classic bitterness and robustness of the style but with the addition of beautifully fruity American hops and all at an ABV that can be enjoyed all night (4.1% in cask and keg and 5.0% in bottle). Impressively strong and full-flavoured for its ABV, this is a piece of classic and bold Butcombe engineering!

bottle from Tesco Exmouth. Deep golden colour with a mid-sized white head. Citrusy hops in the nose. Light-bodid with a shy malty start and lots of spicy, citrusy and slightly resinous hops. Well balanced, a good one.

Dark gold color, perfectly clear. Nice head, with medium retention. American hops in aroma, but the overall effect is not very intensive. Wet rag hints. Medium bitterness, well balanced with sweetness.

On tap at the Yard, Bristol 25/4/2015. Deep amber with a thin, white, head and slight carbonation. A malty beer, with some hedgerow fruit, caramel and moderately bitter finish. Ok.
