Bottle at home in London - picked up at Utobeer. Pours mostly clear gold with a flimsy white head that settles into a creamy film. The aroma holds pale bread, a bit of tangy citrus, grains, leaves. Light-medium sweet flavor with grainy bread, some straight sugars, mild husky grain and leafy bitterness, hints of caramel, subtle orange citrus. Maybe a little watery. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, fairly basic, with more grainy bread, mild leafy bitterness, ripe citrus fruits. A bit simple overall but, for an entry-level bitter, not bad.

Cask at the moon under water jdw. Aroma is nutty malt with a touch of caramel, light spicy hop and touch of apple. Light golden clear pour with a lasting thin white head. Flavour is earthy twigs and nuts with a hint of caramel sweetness. Finish is medium dry with a solid English hop bitterness. Nice mineral water. Good condition.

Cask at EBF XVI, 09/11/13. Clear golden with a thin off white head. Nose is bitter orange, straw, light caramel, fruit tang. Taste comprises light bread dough, hint of citrics, orange pith, straw. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finale with light grassy bitterness. Ok - average Golden Blonde affair.
