Bottle. Thanks Massimo. No carb, rich, fruity and boozy. Great taste, rich, lovely, lots of fruit, guess from the wine. Very nice. Was a bit trashed at this stage.

From bottle @ Borefts 2013. Black colored. Bretty nose with roast and lemon. Totally dry, somewhat vinous flavor with lemon, malt, roast, coffee and brett. Amazing, complex beer,

500ml bottle at Alex's. Pours a very dark brown with a weak beige head. Aroma is strange with lots of oak and red wine. Similar taste with lots of roasted malt notes. Ok.

Bottle - Vintage 2010 - Woody and light soured Vinous notes with a touch of peaty roast. Jet brown with a small light brown head. Vinous, light sourness and lots of dark woody notes. Touch of soy.

Bottle shared. Thanks Raul! Pours a deep ruby with a very wine-like look. Almost no head. Big vinous nose that goes on and on, packed with oak and vanilla. Some light port notes as well as a hint of brett. Endless dark fruit: raisin, currants, dark cherries and blueberry flavors. Finish is very wine-like with some light tannins. Lovely stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Russian Imperial Stout on 29 Sep 2016 at 22:06 - Score: 8. Original review text: Huge oaky nose. Super vinous on the palate. Lots of dark fruit

Had this boy in my fridge for more than 2 years, bottled in 2010, so the real age is more than 6 years. After the cork is removed, it pours flat, dark, almost black / but with some hints of red, almost no foam, very viscous beer. Whoa! Nose is just amazing, full of brett, farmhouse character and funk. At the same time very vinous and oaky. Tastes similarly vinous, Sagrantino wine barrels are coming out loud and clear and if it came out of a wine bottle, I might believe it is actually wine and not a beer. Total kick-ass beer!

Thanks to Massimo for sharing (and making) the bottle! Poured into a tulip tasters showing pitch black with a thin translucent coffee brown and no head. The nose shows very subtle notes of tomato leaf and an alcohol pungency. The palate shows a full body with no carbonation. Flavors of light coffee with slight saltiness at the finish. Interesting and different but unique to try at least once.

Pitch black color. No head at all. Mildly Brett sour nose with big black strap molasses, and dark chocolate. Very flat, lots of ash and molasses and dark chocolate with some tobacco leafs. Very nice.
