Can at LKS. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, white bread, grassy, hay, bit of candied lemon, straw and earth. The taste is crisp, dry, grassy, straw, white bread, straw, soda water, quite sweet, grainy and soap with a drying finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Pretty so - so.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Offie & Toffee. Pours mostly clear yellow with a creamy, pure white head. Pleasant crispy biscuits in the aroma, some straw, a little dough. Light sweet flavour with low bitterness, more biscuits, white bread, very faint grapefruit. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, with more doughy biscuits, mild bitter hay, nips of lemon meringue. A not surprisingly simple, very drinkable kolsch.
