Keg at the Dunblane Hydro because it looked the least uninspiring of the tiny selection of uninspiring overpriced beers. It was a dull golden-amber colour with a thick off-white nitro head. Rather watery with light caramel flavours and a little metal. Despite being boring and insipid it was still better than I expected and certainly better than equivalent big brewer keg bitters like John Smith's.

Keg half pint, at Malone’s Irish Bar, Aberdeen. Copper colour, creamy off-white head. Moderate aroma, not much there. Very smooth flavour, moderately malty, with even more moderate but noticeable hops in the finish. Easy drinking.

500ml bottle at Ayre Hotel Restaurant in Kirkwall. A bright amber coloured body. Crocheted lacing from a medium beige head. Plain caramel nose. Taste of caramel as well with distant bitterness towards the ending. Easy going with the food (16.04.2016).

Keg at The Ball Room. Clear amber/brown body with an off-white cap. Good lacing. Aroma of grain, stewed tea and earth. Flavour of watery grain and twigs. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. There’s not much to it, but it’s drinkable and inoffensive.
