A frothy white head and a hazy pour, some citrus and grassy aromas. A strong malty backbone gives a biscuity vibe, perhaps even a little cereal! This is well balanced with a dry bitter quality and some herbal flavours. This reminds us of summer, crack a can whenever winter is getting you down.

(Can, Bia Mara, Brussels, 20 May 2017) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, orange peel, mandarin and floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, orange, mandarin, fresh floral hops and a balanced bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Can from Cambridge Wine Merchants, Bridge Street. Light gold, hazy, with a big white head. Grapefruit, lime, a touch of banana in the aroma. Nice bittersweet taste with a clean refreshing long finish. Pineapple in the aftertaste. Nice, don’t get me wrong, but very much by-the-numbers golden.

Draught @ William K Kurvi. Poured golden color with a thick white head. Aroma has lychee, white grapes, refreshing and crisp. Interesting aroma. Flavor has malts, grapes, lemony notes, hops and floral notes. Refreshing ale, once again good stuff from this brewery.

From 33 bottle. Pours intense gold, hazy and with abundant fluffy foam, with larger bubbles. Aroma is citrusy: grapefruit and lime. Body is medium, with just a little bit of astringency. Taste has low sweetness, and moderate bitterness. Maybe a hint of acidity. Finish is tendentially short, though some bitterness sticks around.
