Can (from UJH, Tallinn), BB 10.2016. Pours dark golden with huge light beige head. The head stays. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, mandarins, sweetness. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, mango, malt. Finish is grapefruit-dry bitter. Overall: nice fruity brew, although it feels a bit old despite being well inside BB.

330ml Can - Golden with a slight haze and a white head. Peach, apricot, lychees and a hint of grapefruit in the aroma. Tangy, zesty and hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, biscuity malt, peach, lemon zest and apricot. Nicely balanced and whilst Jester is a lot more fruity and zesty than most English hops, you can still tell it’s English.

Keg at The Lyric, Soho. It pours hazy cloudy orange - amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, juicy, sticky fruits, tangerine, mango and candied peel. The taste is bitter, juicy, resinous, mango, apricot, pine, pepper, sticky action, some alcohol warmth, grass and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and fine prickly carbonation. A bit chewy on the mouth-feel. Rather nice overall.

Can from Good Spirits Co. Hazy and golden in colour with a thick white head. Dry, hoppy aroma. Flavour is nicely balanced between dry, citric hoppiness and a bit of sweetness to cut through it. Nice, crisp beer and the hops linger through into the aftertaste but it does seem to be lacking a certain something to make it a really good beer.

Can. Clear gold with a white head. Aroma of Seville oranges, some mango and rockmelon, light bread. A little oily, lowish carbonation. Quite bitter immediately with tropical fruit and some woody herbal notes, bready and peachy sweetness. No really separate finish. Ah, it turns out I had had the experimental version of this. This is better balanced but I’m still not quite sold. Interesting. Earlier Rating: 2/4/2013 Total Score: 3.3Bottle, 12C. Clear orange with a large white head. Aroma of mandarins, hay, pepper. Sweet hay with strong bitterness that kicks in right away. Mandarins, grapefruit, lime, sharp pepper. Fine juicy and zesty fruit, but bitterness is excessive.
