Keg at the brewpub, 02/02/16. Rich copper with a light beige covering. Nose is stewed fruit, phenols, toffee, booze strains. Taste comprises overly ripe fruit, orange peel, toffee, earthy, harsh. Medium + body, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Wanted to like this cos of the doge link but have to say it was pretty ruff .... ruff ruff ruff !

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy, white head. Damp grains in the nose, old citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavour, astringent, with notes of grass, rind, alcohol and oily pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Warming finish, lightly resinous, with more damp grains, abrasive husky bitterness. Harsh overall. Rather poor.

Draft - Astringent and lots of apples. Clear copper with a small beige head. Caramel, apples and more astringency. Not good.

Draught at Discretion Brewing. Clear deep amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of raw sugar, lemon, peel, lemon pledge, caramel, green apples and bread. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes green apples, pears and caramel. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. So much acetaldehyde. So unprofessional. Awful.

Tap. Pours reddish Amber, medium beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is light, caramel, honey, toffee, raisin. Flavor is quite sweet, caramelized sugars, figs and raisins, very light bitterness. Full sticky mouthfeel, hot.

[2/16/15] Draught at Discretion Brewing in Soquel. Clear amber. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruitiness and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor with caramel, fruitiness, a cookie hint and a slightly bitterish finish with an alcoholic note. Medium-bodied.

Draft. Amber beer with a dark cream head. Light sweet malt aroma. Caramel and light toffee flavor with backing hops. Medium bodied. Caramel and light toffee linger with light dried fruit and light backing hops.
