Keg at the brewpub, 01/02/16. Rich amber pour with a decent beige cap. Nose is orange squash, citric tinged straw, pithy citrics, pine resin. Taste comprises bitter tropical fruits, straw, toasted grains, orange pith, light pine coating, grapefruit. Medium body, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Passable DIPA but nothing I'd look to revisit.

Draft a the brewpub. Clear reddy dark orange coloured pour with no head. Aroma is spicy citrus hop, medicinal. Sticky hop. Flavour is composed of sticky pine. Spicy citrus. Sweet caramel. Palate is semi sweet. Sticky, moderate carbonation.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper gold with no head. The aroma is pine and earthy malt. Thin mouth, bready malt, raisin, light finish, decent.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pour deep reddish brown with a creamy top. There’s some citrus in the nose, bread, old pine. Medium bodied with notes of alcohol, faded pine and citrus rind, dusty pale malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Some earthy, rindy and piney hop impressions in the finish. But overall, rather poor.

Draught at Sonoma Springs. Clear deep amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of citrus, tangerine, caramel, light grain and toffee. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of citrus, tangerine and caramel. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Meh.

Served on cask at the brewhouse. Translucent orange/amber with a lacing, sticky beige head. Sweet, candy like aroma with oranges, pine and grapefruit. Flavor is sweet caramel malts, oranges, pine, flowers. Sweet, bitter finish. Very nice.
