Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2016. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose holds ashy roast, baking cocoa. Medium sweet flavour with notes of sugary chocolate, more baking cocoa, mild earthy bitterness. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet on the finish with further sugary chocolate, good roast, charred wood. Solid, this one.

Keg at the brewery tap, 30/01/16. Dark black with a well appointed tan covering that retains well - a looker. Nose is dark malt, light spice, chocolate, tar. Taste comprises toffee fudge, chocolate, light charr, tar, bitter rub. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with roasty bite. Solid for the style.
